Hello and welcome to the first post of Lawn Fawn's Summer release and inspiration week! We are just so excited about this week! We have seven new stamp sets, and they will be revealed on May 31st at 12:01 am EDT and until then we will have fun posts and giveaways and lots of inspiration!

Today is our showcase of "Sunny Skies". This 4" x 6" set is inspired by summer skies filed with kites, clouds and birds. The design team has made the most amazing samples! We also have a little video on the bottom showcasing some fun ways of using the set including 3 cards from start to finish!

Chari's notebook is so sweet! I love the glitter and smiling sun and clouds! The paper pieced hearts are a great touch!
Tiffany's layout is so adorable! I love her use of Bright Side and her paper pieced elements. Bannerific works great with the Sunny Skies birds, and the Lawn Trimmings is perfect for the kite tails!
Yainea's card is so beatuful! I love the idea of the sun and the moon with this sentiment from Sunny Skies. Check out her blog to see how she made the moon from the sun!
Lynnette's cards are so sweet. Her paper paper piecing with Bright side is fantastic! I love her Lawn Trimmings kite tail, too!
Teri's card is so fun! I love that she used the kite tail bow as a bow tie for the sun and his blush is so cute! Sophie's Sentiments works great with these images, too!
Melissa M.'s layout is wonderful! I love her patchwork created with Bright Side and her use of the sentiment from Sunny Skies as part of her title!
Kim's layout is beautiful. I like how she combined the kraft and suns from Bright Side with Aqua card stock, and the Chevron Backdrops look great, too!
Julie's card is vintage sweetness. I love how she stamped the You've Got Mail sentiment and then added the birds to the banner. I love the vintage look you can get with this set!
Latisha's card is so joyful! I love her glittery sun and the sweet gems she placed around the card. The rounded edges are really cool, too!

ReplyDeleteMy Favorite Memories are the time we took our Family to Ocean Shores we rented a House on the Beach and it was so fun the kids flew their Kits and then we went into town so the kids can shop and Ride horses.
that was one of the most Special times with our kids when they were little. Time flies so fast then when you dont know it they have grown and are fling the coop to start their own life. so make the most of your life with your Children because it goes to fast. thanks for the chance to win

I love the notebook. My favorite summer was when I played softball (for all of one summer). I made a lot of friends that year and we went to the playoffs. :)

I loved the summer I spent showing my kids where I was born, we went with my parents and siblings so it was really fun to show them a little bit of history mixed with great food and small town folklore, I am from Morelia, Mich., Mexico so we visited not only the city but the surrounding towns, Patzcuaro, Janitzio, Uruapan...

She never treated them like they were not her nieces and we had been thru that from other family members. Instead she embraced them as a part of her family and made them feel loved be her. I will never forget that summer. She has impacted their lives in such a positive way.

ReplyDeleteAnyways, my favorite summer memory is of 2010. I visited Washington (state) for the first time and fell in love with that state. Soon after that trip I got to visit my brother in Michigan and my male best friend rode with me. We had some awesome bonding time together before he moved to Puerto Rico. That's a summer I'll never forget! ♥
LOve the set....I have a great summer memory of Hiking in Yellowstone Natl park on July 1st, as we reached the summit of Observation Peak..the light sprinkle of rain turned to a blizzard of snow...Such fun pictures of snow in July!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory of summer was last year when my hb & I went for a 2 weeks road trip. We went Lake Tahoe and it was just gorgeous followed by San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Grand Canyon.
My favorite memory is fishing for minnows in my grandmas creek. Loved it every summer! Love this set too!!

I was really inspired when I watched Kelly Marie's video making three cards with the adorable clouds, sun and kites. It brought back memories of our sons flying kites on breezy summer days.

ReplyDeleteThe idea of having the smiley separately is good idea as sometimes I do not feel like having the smiley. I think you should consider having smiley separately in the future sets.
ReplyDeleteMalaysia is all year summer but in some of the months, the temperatures will rise so high that you need to bath few times in a day! My daughter loves it a lot as she can play water few times in a day!
My favorite summer memory is going to summer camp with the youth group from my church. It was what I looked forward to every year!

ReplyDeleteWe don't have 4 seasons here sadly but summer makes me think of the beach always and I would be really happy if I could be picnicking at the beach, and flying a kite of two ;)
I have so many favorite summer memories, but I really have to share my *newest* favorite summer memory - which was YESTERDAY! I am training for my very first Triathlon, which will be at the end of June. And, yesterday was our FIRST open water swim in the lake where the competition will be. (We have been practicing at the local pool until now.) It was amazing - all of us got suited up into our wetsuits, and we got into the very cold water, and swam early in the morning, shortly after the sun came up. It was amazing and wonderful, and not as scary as I thought it would be! I LOVE this new set - and can't wait to make sunny cards with it :)
ReplyDeletemy favourite memory was the year our first son was born. he was around 6 months old in the summer and he looked so cute in his little summer clothes and just at the right age where i couldn't blink and see him head to foot in mess and sticky stuff.

11 years on he's stuck in his bedroom with his head in his computer on one of the hottest days of the year.

ReplyDeleteGreat work by the DT! My favorite Summer memory has to be doing projects on our home with my Papa. Every Summer we would scrape the entire house, both stories and the porch, and give it a fresh coat of paint. I loved working side by side with him, we'd talk on and on for hours. I loved every hot sweaty moment with him.

Any great find at a yard sale or second hand store is my favourite ^-^ Or my wedding last year. Or the day got to spend all by myself (no kids, no family, no nothing just me, my bathing suit and a great book) by the ocean after the wedding to recover from all the work arranging it :D

ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this set! The DT did an amazing job!1 My favorite moments from summer as a kid was spending the whole summer at school learning the new sets for marching band. We had a huge band and all my friends were in it, couldn't ask for better people to spend the summer with. I'm 30 now and still very close with my friends from band.

ReplyDeleteit's hard to pick one! I love sitting in the garden on my sunlounger, listening to the children playing, a book to hand and a wonderful hubby bringing me pimms and lemonade with lots of strawberries in. It's been sunny today and this is how I enjoyed myself.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer memory is the annual 4th of July picnic with my grandparents an all the aunts, uncles and cousins. We were at the park early where my grandmother made breakfast on the park grill. We stayed through lunch and dinner. Lots of games: baseball, badminton, tag, card games,etc.So much fun. I would love to go back if only for a day.

So darn cute!!! Love them all... My fav memory is taking my girls out on the boat almost every weekend so they could swim with their friends. We always had a blast and they never wanted to leave!!! Fun, fun....

ReplyDeleteone of my favorite summer memories is the summer my uncles sent my brother and I a trampoline, and we had a go cart track that circled around the back yard and a wonderful tree for climbing...hmm. think we were lucky not to break a bone! love the cards thanks for a chance to win!

What a great looking set! I have so many great summer memories. Summer is just a wonderful time of year! I think I would have to say the year I had a slumber party outside and we all slept on the trampoline.. We were surprised to find out, that night was an AWESOME meteor shower...Havent seen another on like it since then..

This set is adorable and so are all the DT cards and layouts...great job ladies! My favorite summer memory is when my parents were both still with us, we would (the whole family) meet at their lake house on the July 4th weekend and eat,swim, pontoon rides and paddle boat and have fires every night with S'mores...it was the time of my life and my children talk about it every summer too! ReplyDeleteMy favourite summer memory is sitting on top of a fountain at a lido in North Wales - the warm sunshine & the cold water - great. This is something you can't do nowadays because of health & safety restrictions - such a pity.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer activity is the first summer I met my husband - back in 1994. I was leaving 9th grade & he was leaving 10th. It was one of the best summers of my life getting to know him! Going to the movies uncountable times and talking on the phone like crazy - good times!

Mom came home we thought we were in trouble. still in her waitress uniform she joined us! We laughed and played until it started thundering.
